1. Do the credits I purchase from Pacific CPE expire? | No, your credits will never expire. You can use your credits anytime to select and complete any course in our library. |
2. Are there any additional fees to complete my CPE, such as exam grading fees? | No. Pacific CPE courses are all-inclusive. There are no additional fees for grading exams, retaking exams, completion certificates, etc. |
3. How long do I have to complete a course? | Per state and NASBA CPE regulations, courses must be completed within 1 year of your registration date. However, Pacific CPE will always be happy to re-enroll you in any unfinished courses for free. |
4. How do I verify if Pacific CPE courses are accepted in my state? | Pacific CPE is a NASBA-QAS approved CPE sponsor, which can be verified on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors here: www.nasbaregistry.org
Note for Texas CPAs: Pacific CPE is not currently registered in Texas. However, per Board regulations, Texas licensees may claim up to fifty percent of their hours from non-registered CPE sponsors. |
5. What presentation format are Pacific CPE courses delivered in? | All courses from Pacific CPE are presented in Self Study format with downloadable PDF course materials and exams. The PDF files are designed to be printable if desired. Exam answer selections are submitted online through your account on our website. |
6. Can I save my answers in the middle of an online exam and finish it at a later time? | Yes. Once you select an answer it is saved automatically. You can return to an exam anytime. |
7. What happens if I do not pass a final exam? | You can retake each final exam as many times as needed. There are no additional fees for retaking exams. |
8. Can I see which questions I missed on an exam? | Incorrect answer feedback is provided for only 3 days after passing an exam. Go to the completed course tab and click 'Exam Result' next to the certificates link. No answer feedback will be provided for failed exams. |
9. Can I repeat a topic that I have completed previously? | Courses on the same topic can only be repeated after the courses have been updated to a new version (e.g.: versions 1001A vs 1001B). |
10. Can I complete Pacific CPE courses on a tablet or smartphone? | Yes. Pacific CPE courses are fully compatible with all computers, tablets, and smartphones. |
11. Do courses from Pacific CPE satisfy CFP continuing education requirements? | The CFP Board accepts continuing education courses from pre-approved CE sponsors, as well as non-registered sponsors. Pacific CPE is not pre-approved, but because our courses are NASBA compliant, some topics are able to qualify as non-registered CFP CE. Topics that qualify must be within the CFP Board's Principal Knowledge Topics, which can be viewed by clicking here.
