How many CPE hours do Missouri CPAs need?
Missouri CPAs must complete 40 hours every year.
Reporting period: Effective January 1, 2020 - Reporting Period will be 1/1 to 12/31 on an annual basis.

What is the Missouri ethics CPE requirement?
Missouri requires 2 hours of ethics every year. A general ethics course qualifies.

Does Missouri limit self-study CPE?
Missouri places no limit on self-study CPE, so all 40 hours may be earned through self-study courses.

- Certified Accounts Payable Professional Exam (CAPP). Eligible for twenty (20) CPE hours.
- Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialists (CAMS). Eligible for ten (10) CPE hours.
- Certified Financial Planner (CFP). Eligible for thirty (30) CPE hours.
- Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE). Eligible for twenty-five (25) CPE hours.
- Certified Government Financial Planner (CGFM). Three- (3-) part exam, eligible for ten (10) CPE hours per exam (30 hours total).
- Certified Information System Auditor Exam (CISA). Eligible for fifteen (15) CPE hours.
- Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA). Eligible for twenty (20) CPE hours.
- Certified Management Accountant Exam (CMA). Two- (2-) part exam, eligible for twenty (20) CPE hours per exam (40 hours total).
- Certified Treasury Professional Exam (CTP). Eligible for fifteen (15) CPE hours.
- Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst Exam (CAIA). Two- (2-) part exam, eligible for twenty-five (25) CPE hours per exam (50 hours total).
- Chartered Financial Analyst Exam (CFA). Three- (3-) part exam, eligible for thirty (30) CPE hours per exam (90 hours total).
- Chartered Enterprise Risk Analyst (CERA). Five- (5-) part exam, eligible for fifteen (15) CPE hours per exam (75 hours total).
- Enrolled Agent Certification. Eligible for twenty (20) CPE hours.
- Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC). Eligible for fifteen (15) CPE hours.
- Series 6 Exam. Eligible for ten (10) CPE hours.
- Series 7 Exam. Eligible for twenty-five (25) CPE hours.
- Series 63 Exam. Eligible for nine (9) CPE hours.
- Series 65 Exam. Eligible for twenty (20) CPE hours.
- Series 66 Exam. Eligible for fifteen (15) CPE hours.
What other Missouri CPE policies apply?
- Exemption: A non-resident licensee seeking renewal of a license in this state shall be determined to have met the CPE requirement of this rule by meeting the CPE requirements for renewal of a license in the state in which the licensee's principal office is located or state of residence. If a non-resident licensee's principal office state or state of residence has no CPE requirements for renewal of a license, the non-resident licensee must comply with all CPE requirements for renewal of a license in this state.
- Missouri accepts CPE credits for programs offered by National Registry sponsors.
- Grace Period: Licensees in good standing will be granted a grace period from January 1st through March 1st each calendar year to cure a CPE shortage for the preceding calendar year. Licensees requesting to use this grace period shall submit a written application to the board on a form prescribed by the board.
Does Pacific CPE count toward Missouri CPE?
